Welcome!
Calvary Lutheran Preschool

Calvary Lutheran Preschool is a ministry of Calvary Lutheran Church. We are committed to providing a high quality, creative and developmentally appropriate curriculum where children will grow socially and intellectually. They will be nurtured by positive relationships with adults and children and grow in their faith and love of God.

Our Program

The classroom environment offers every child an opportunity to choose a variety of centers to explore at thier own interest level. The children move freely between the building area, creative dramatics, art/invention station, easel painting, water and sensory tables, small motor manipulative, a cozy library, and adult supported math or language arts activities.

A portion of our day is also spent in large group activities. At group time, we sing, do creative movement, and enjoy stories. We also share prayers, eat snack together and participate in active large motor play. Our program may look informal but we believe in play with purpose! We offer skill based learn-through-play curriculum.

The teachers use a variety of themes to help children learn about themselves, God and the world around them. We support a developmentally appropriate program that allows children to develop at their own pace.

Our Facility

We are located at:
937 NE Jackson School Road
Hillsboro, Oregon 97124
phone: 503-693-0403

We have two classrooms, access to a large indoor space for active play, a well-equipped fenced outdoor playground and Hamby Park next door.

Parent Involvement

Parent involvement in the classroom is not mandatory. Parents may choose to participate in the classroom on a scheduled, voluntary basis. They assist the children with teacher planned art activities, small group games, story reading, teacher prep and cleanup. All parents will take turns providing a healthy snack for the class on a rotating basis.
