You are welcome to attend Calvary Lutheran’s Adult Forum, Sundays at 9:00 AM in the Library/Fireside Room. Topics of study and conversation vary from season-to-season, and year-to-year, but no matter what we study, there is always plenty to talk about. Topics have included various books of the Bible, how Lutheran’s read the Bible, various issues such as sexuality, hunger, homelessness and poverty. A series on the theology of Shakespeare was very enjoyable. We talk about whatever is going on in our lives, in the life of the church and the community. Old-timers and newcomers enjoy getting together and getting to know each other. The forum is usually taught by very capable lay-leaders. Pastor Matthew teaches Confirmation in the mornings but drops in when he can. Sometimes there is no leader, but whoever shows up wastes no time in welcoming the others and starting up a lively conversation. There is no end to conversation in this forum! The leader's task is merely to keep the group on track. This winter Adult Forum will be looking at the history and theology of social ministry in the Lutheran Tradition. Please join us!

We will continue our discussion of "Pray the Devil Back to Hell" movie in the fellowship hall—Sunday, January 8 morning at 9:00. We will hear from the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize Recipient, Leymah Gwobee on how to claim our space for peace.
On Sunday, January 15, we will plan for the next three months to Easter, April 8.
