The Social Ministry committee is hosting a Lutheran World Relief Fair Trade Fair at Calvary on Sunday, November 20.

The beautiful and unique Fair Trade items are handmade by disadvantaged artisans in developing regions. Each purchase helps artisans maintain steady work and a sustainable income so they can provide for their families.

The products are ordered on consignment, and the event is not a fundraiser for Calvary. Items will include chocolates, jams, scarves, jewelry, home décor and arts and crafts using recycled materials. Most items are $25 or less. With the Fair Trade program, 7.5% of each purchase goes to support Lutheran World Relief.

The WELCA Bake Sale is the same day, so you will be able to do a little holiday shopping, fill your cupboard with goodies, and help people in Hillsboro and around the world.

Those who pre-ordered pies from the youth  may pick them up as well.
